Yes its the placenta what connects the mother and baby in utero

Its responsible for exchange of oxygen, nutrients etc

Without it your baby will not grow properly

Always want to remind mums that at a point during labor if you have not given birth the placenta can stop functioning, function improperly etc leading to fetal distress or still birth

Always be mindful of your date of delivery and work closely with your doctor or midwife around that time

Your pregnancy should not go beyond 42 weeks!
