Am a victim of Preeclampsia during my pregnancy I knew nothing about preeclampsia.
One day as I went for antenatal visit and when my blood pressure was taken It was high around 160/110 and proteinuria was also high
I was then rush to a hospital since where I went was a health center.
Immediately we arrived I was rush to the ward and was give magnesium sulphate for 24 hours.
That injection is so….
then was kept on blood pressure medication
After 3 days I was discharged and was ask to come for review the next week so I went for my review as the doctor said and my BP was high.
I was admitted again and repeated magnesium sulphate for 24 hours.
I was in the hospital for another four days
then went for my laboratory investigations and scan to check how baby was doing.
Her growth was restricted then inadequate flow of blood
I was in tears. She was my first baby.
I was referred to a bigger hospital which has NICU because I was 29 +4 week by then. Upon arrival I was rushed to the theater for emergency c section.
Baby was doing okay then after a week she pass away
It was horrible for me it has been 6 months and still feels like yesterday
My baby was born on 18 November 2019 and passed away on 25 November.
I sometime feels it was my fault I couldn’t save her.
I love her so much and I wonder what I did wrong preeclampsia why me
just hoping and praying for a rainbow after a Storm
