EDD: 16th August 2024
God’s date: 20th July, 2024
I first of all want to thank God for his goodness and mercies. His name forever be praised. Amen. Then to our midwives God richly bless you.
My journey wasn’t very smooth, in the very first month I had a threatened miscarriage. It was scary as I had already miscarried my first pregnancy but God saw me through it. After this was a terrible morning sickness which lasted up to the 12 week. Then everything became normal.
In my 20th week I woke up one fine morning and started experiencing lower abdominal pains. The pain was becoming unbearable so I checked in at hospital and it was pre-term labor eii!, where from this one too? I was admitted and treated. Again everything became normal until my 35th week where I couldn’t feel my baby’s movement well, immediately I went to the hospital but didn’t meet my gynae. A different doctor attended to me and said everything was fine but from the look on his face all was not well. The following week I went to see my gynae, he did an ECG scan and the result was bad. Baby was in distress. The placenta was not in good condition to send oxygen and blood to the baby hence an emergency c/s had to be done to save baby.
I was devastated upon hearing this, I shed tears for a short while then I remembered all the teachings and testimonies I have heard on this class page. I gathered the courage and told the doctor I was ready.
I was immediately prepared for the theatre and in less than 5 minutes my miracle baby boy was out crying loud and looking healthy. Praise God.
A very big thank you to midwife Sally, midwife Eunice and Midwife Munira. Remember don’t leave your pregnancy to chance. Always cooperate with your doctor/midwife.
