After 9 months of pregnancy one important thing is to consider carefully the hospital you choose to deliver your baby.
You can do all that need to do but if the hospital you choose lacks the basic things they need to have, or lack the positive attitude, your outcome may not be what you expect.
Here are a few things to consider
- How close it is to your home
- The cost of their service
- Good referral system in case of an emergency
- Blood bank
- Theatre for emergency procedures
- Highly skilled doctors and midwives
- Good environment
- Nicu services in case baby is preterm
- Availability of ambulance for emergency
- Compassionate staffs
Even if your hospital lacks some of the things mentioned above, its important that they can easily refer you to the next facility with ease. Example if you are from a hospital without theatre, there must be an option to one easily if the need arises
