WHEN YOUR BABY IS TEETHING

In our local settings it’s common to hear that once a baby is teething she can have diarrhea and also high temperature and that’s normal.

Please, this is not normal!

There are several causes of fever and diarrhea.

Infection, the food you give the child or even malaria

It’s not OK to assume baby has Diarrhea because he is teething

Even the rise in temperature caused by teething is not that significant

So mums, if you notice your teething child has fever or diarrhea, don’t just assume it’s teething without seeking medical care.

Seeking early medical care helps prevent complications
